Certainly the TV news has. I may watch it again someday if they ever have anything important to say.

They seem to.The problem is that spin doctors are no more educated in politics than you or I,They read the news, the internet then come up with their own version of it.So if we are too lazy to think for ourselves, they whatever they say to us is true.

Spin Doctors have always been around in politics it is just the "NEW" Modern name for them any one who takes whatever a politicians says and redefines or "Clarifies" it for the ignorant amongst us is a "SPIN DOCTOR" and it is NOT just in politics wall street has been doing it for years they call it advertising , artistic license or "Any Other" name you wish to call it ...

It would seem so. I want an honest debate of the facts but can't seem to find anywhere to get that on tv

It's always been that way, from both the left and the right.

Yes, and I only see it getting worse while votes (both Congressional and the electorate) are for sale. As long as they can buy advertising that convinces a gullible electorate, we are in trouble. Both sides of this equation need to be addressed.

I mean, I've seen supply side economics and corporatism equated to capitalism, and anything else equated to socialism or communism. At some point in the last 10 years, supply side corporate economics has become the only theory of capitalism. When did that happen, and why didn't I get a memo?

I've seen advertising successfully convince people that they don't need health insurance or healthcare reform. While we weren't watching, a committee amended the healthcare bill to extend pharmaceutical patents by 7 years, which delays the introduction of generics and increases prescription costs exponentially. This will cost us billions. Did you see it on the major news outlets? I thought not.

Politics were created by spin doctors. Anyone who can't twist facts gets eaten alive. This is nothing new- the media is just able to show it to the public in modern times.
