Id say sports. Take football for example. Not only do you have to memorize very play, formation, etc but you have to hit the gym 24/7 and on top of that they wind up sitting in tubs of ice every day and probably have multiple concussions, broken bones, etc during their career.
Honestly, both categories of entertainers deserve whatever money we are willing to pay them. Their salarys are set by our interest in them; wheter its how fast they can run, or their acting chops.
People complain that they are overpaid, yet they contribute to their wealth by buying their merchandise and watching "the show."
Neither. They both negatively affect society by distracting us from the things we should be paying attention to like the war in Afghanistan. Like the million plus people in prison for nonviolent drug offenses. Like people starving in our country. Etc. You get the idea. Neither "earn" it, in my opinion, they just found something that pays a lot for accomplishing very little in society and they take advantage of it.
I think there is a large salary in both professions. Depending on how popular you are. +5

I think you underestimate how much dedication some actors put into their roles. Some put in just as much time at the gym or gain massive weight for their part. Likewise, many actors do their own stunts and have suffered similar injuries. +2
