  • Nope, I work for myself and by myself. I appreciate me a lot :)
  • No, actually I am stressed because they do show their appreciation for my job too often, and it makes me feel I need to keep the pace no matter how I fee.
  • Every single day. I work at night, don't get to see anyone. They miss my birthdays, while other employees get cards and cake. They missed my anniversary of my hire date, while other employees get a pin and certificate. I get sh** at work. . Sorry it's been a bad Monday +6
  • Sometimes, and when I'm criticized for a job I think was well done that makes it even worse. I am fuelled by positive comments and appreciation at work---they spur me on and make me want to go to work everyday and be productive. I think management needs to learn about this much more.
  • nope, they appreciate the heck outta me twice a month!!! I work for pay and thats thanks enough.
  • Nope, I love my job and my boss needs me. I can tell. LOL
  • yes, i am just slave labor. i know i can be fired with a moment's warning. i am a workbot. however the less they know about me the better. i do good work i am not a problem.
  • I have news for you.... no matter how great you are, if you are a grunt they don't give a crap about you. executives who are so crappy they can single handedly destroy companies are deemed dozens of times more valuable than the laborers who who carry the company.
  • hell yeah! I retaliate by not appreciating them and not giving a cr*p about them eitherQ
  • Yep, started about 6 months before we were outsourced and continues with the new management.
  • I AM EXTREMELY UNDERAPPRECIATED. AND I CAN'T WAIT TIL I AM DONE SCHOOL SO I WILL BE RESPECTED FOR MY JOB TITLE :-) Great Question.
  • Sometimes
  • I work for the person who bought my business, so yeah sometimes I feel under appreciated but I don't doubt that they give a cr*p. He not only bought my business to help me out at one of the worst points in my life, but then talked me into coming to work for him after it was all over. +4
  • Nope, my bosses are great. I can actually talk to each of them (they're a married couple who own the restaurant together) as a friend, more the man then the women - he's a little more laid back and less judging. Him, my supervisor, a few others, and I even went paintballing together a while ago and he let me use his gun and his paintballs and wear his jacket and gloves. Most of my coworkers are friendly and a lot of them genuinely care about me as I care about them.
  • Money's Money no matter how u look at it. Focus on the job, not the people, and u should do just fine.
  • It's so bad lately, I can't even tell you :( This is my very sore subject of the day... nail hit right on the head. I took the job I did because it was the opportunity to write, and I wanted to gain experience and relocate across the East Coast. I succeeded in doing that during the recession, and I know it's been an important stepping stone in my career. I am not sure how wide or deep this particular passage is, but I do know that I have that incredibly awful sinking feeling lately. <Big sigh>
  • Often. That's why I'm thankful for Howard Stern. He's helped me through many discouraging days.
  • Yes I use to all the time for years actually. I also get that often even now.
  • I've ceased to care whether "they" appreciate me or not. I know I'm doing a good job and that's all that matters. If "they" don't like it, DILLIGAF? +5
  • Not at all. I have a great job and team that I work with. I feel truly blessed. +5
  • I did at my former job, which is why I left. I have a great boss now who does appreciate good work, my only regret is that this job wasn't available sooner.
  • yes, but only because i'm not and they don't. being my own boss just means that i now have 1,000 bosses!!! oh well, i do my very best and i please most of the people most of the time.
  • They can't appreciate what they don't understand.
