Maybe the money stays in circulation longer, but it stays in the landfill for longer too ... like, for forever. And plastic production is pretty toxic to the environment. I think I'd be upset if my government switched to plastic money: I've been trying to drastically reduce the amount of plastic I use in my life. I know it isn't always cut and dry, and overall it's not like they're murdering people!! So it's not like a big deal but I just wouldn't like it, myself.
