Right after you've removed all the Germanic vocabulary.

PS: "purging", "inferior", "vocabulary" and "language" are all derived from Latin.

Latin is the base of most languages. It was used by ancient scholars. If you're vying for today's most ridiculous question, you can stop, you've won.

To do so would practically eliminate most polysyllabic words.

I have a audiobook called "The Mother Tongue", that is mainly about the English language, but it also speaks on how languages evolve over time. One way languages purge words is by having them fall out of popular use. So, looking at your question, maybe we should weight whether the words "purging", "inferior", and "language" are inferior words that should be done away with. cheers :D +dos

Actually, by learning the basics of latin, you will enrich your knowledge of English, and will facilitate the learning and usage of words in any other western language. And what does inferior latin means anyway.
