  • 10 they mind their own damn business lol
  • I am half-Kiwi. I went there several times as a young person, but not since...On a scale of 1-10, I would say that it was an 8. It is beautiful, diverse, fascinating. You can travel a few hours and see a completely different landscape from what you saw before eg desert to snowcapped mountains. The people are friendly and welcoming. Tourists are well catered for, but there is ample opportunity to travel on local transport. Food is good and varied. the cities are modern, the towns are sweet...all in all it is a great place to visit, and, because it is small, you can see a lot.
  • 10. I love NZ.
  • I don't know... a four, maybe. I have very little care for New Zealand, and I'm sure if I went there I would think even less of it. Everywhere sucks except for where I live.
  • 10 I've never been there, but who wouldn't love these sights?
  • I'm at a 9 with them because I was totally enchanted with the discovery channel episode I saw on North Island and it was totally cool: the entire hot air balloon ride over North islan was totally awesome to watch.
  • Not having been there - I'd give it a nine or ten. It's scenic, there's not too many people, it'd be a lot like home with a twist (home being Australia). I think I'd like NZ a lot if I went there. All the Kiwi's I've met have been fine too :)
  • I have never been there, but the country looks truly fantastic! I have met many Kiwi's in my life and ALL of them have been wonderful people! There is NO other country I can say that about! I would give it a 9 and the only reason it is not a 10 is because it is too far away! lol
  • I've never been there, but it seems to be an interesting and pretty place. So I'll give it a 6.
  • 10. I have been twice to the north island and now it is time to explore the south island. Wonderful people, wonderful country.
  • 10! I am a kiwi and its one of the most beautiful places on earth with alot of adventurous outdoors things to do. Its far away but worth it un touched by all the other problems happening in the world.
  • I've never been there, but my father was when he was in the navy. I've heard it is a beautiful country. I would love to visit. Sorry I can't give a numerical rating based on just comments from others.
  • If I was visiting it, It would be a 10 easily, but because I have lived here all my life it's only about an 8. Don't get me wrong, I love my country, but there are lots of things wrong with it too that don't affect visitors. The out-of-the-way location of our country means that we miss out on many global things and are behind technologically, socially, and even environmentally. So it's an amazing place to visit, anyone who stayed here for a week or two would fall in love with it, but living here has its downsides.
  • 10! NZ rules!
  • 10 although I've never been there. When I was on a months tour of the British Isles and thought it so absolutely beautiful, I asked others on the tour who had been many more places than I if they didn't think the British Isles the most beautiful place they'd ever been. Most said they thought Norway and New Zealand might be more beautiful. And I love the kiwi's! Everyone I've ever worked with have such strong ethics and integrity. They would be your second in a duel at sunrise if they told you they'd be there.
  • On a scale of 1-10 I give it an 11
  • Since N.Z is one of the best countries to live in-in the world it would have to rate very highly with most people who have lived there.
  • I am going to give it a 4 out of ten, I am a kiwi, I have lived there for 23 years until recently. I moved over to Australia as a lot of other kiwis are doing, 40,000 left in 2007, that's over 750 kiwis that left the country every week for the whole year. I will go back to NZ but I would rather live in Australia. The scenery is nice in some parts of NZ, however some parts including auckland is a lot left to be desired. It's the little things that you notice that make australia a better, bus drivers, people in customer service, retail are a lot more friendly. There is way less road kill, the train system isn't third world. NZ says that they are a clean green country, yet they don't relocate their wildlife away from busy motorways. Every time I go on the motorway all I see is pukekas squashed on the road, or live ones about to be run over. There's way too many tags and vandalism everywhere (not art tags, scribbles) they don't care about their own country. The bus stop across the road from my house used to get smashed every 3 days, there is an increase in violence, and gangs. it's not a safe place to live. And is not clean and green like they want you to believe, for example Fonterra pollute the Manawatu river and the government looks the other way. Auckland is road works central, because they put off fixing the roads for so long they now have a back log. Lets go onto work, the 8 hour day is becoming extinct in NZ. Kiwi's are over worked and underpaid, we are one of the most overworked countries in western world. By choice? people would like to think so, but the reality is with the soaring increase in house prices, rent, cost of living, combined with the limited pay rates we don't have a lot of choice. I used to love new zealand, but now I don't consider it my home anymore. I am sorry if I have offended anyone but that's how I feel, I love Ohakune, Corromandel, they aren't very developed though. If you like small towns it would be great I guess. I would not recommend living in Auckland, it's going down hill.
  • for me, since I live here, Id have to give it a hiogh mark, maybe 8, but Aussie does appeal, for lots of reasons, especially the queensland part, now that weather over there..........
  • I would say about an 8, for I hear it is very beautiful, though I base my opinion on the notion that the Rohan section of Lord of the Rings movies was filmed on a New Zealand countryside. If they hosted any season of Survivor, they get a nine!
  • Ah, I'm a kiwi too. A lovely 9 for me.
  • actually, i have no opinion either way regarding new zealand. I dont know much about new zealand...
  • On a scale of 1-10 I'd have to say NZ would be off the scale...for me its not only the scenery that makes it soo awesome but the people.
  • I would have to give it a 9, but I have never been there.
  • My little LeeLee lives there so a 10!
  • I'd say 10! I have relatives there and it is sooooo beautiful!
  • 8. Its a great place. I really enjoy my time when im there.
  • 8.5 but we could do things a way lot better
  • Once, eons ago, in the unique twilight of a ideal summer's evening in Provence, supping out-of-doors at a chambre d'hote, a beautiful young woman from N.Z. spoke the only words in the Polynesian language of the early inhabitants said county that she recalled, by singing, in Maori, the sweetest of songs...
  • Maybe 6-8 (good, but Australia is better 100 out of 10!) Have you been there? There are beached whales every where!!
  • Nine. I'd give 10, but it's upside down there
  • 10 but am a kiwi
  • They gave up The Flight of the conchords! 10 for the KIWIS!
  • Ten out of Ten. Still a safe, happy and clean place to live
  • I am not interested in NZ at all, I'd probably would rate a 1...
  • 10, hot Kiwi chicks are from there
  • Probably an 8. Im a New Zealander but im saving to move out of here :]
  • 10 out of 10.. Because I live here :)
