one of my dogs has the same problem. you can try always having bones on hand to keep him occupied, ignore his whining hopefully getting him to eventually stop because your not responding to him, buy a kong and put a dog treat in it or peanut butter in it, my dogs love to chew on plastic water bottles. give him some attention most likely he is jealous
