I believe, YES! I plateau at about 220lbs regardless of whether I eat loads or starve. It started when I was in my mid 40's. However my height has remained constant. 6ft 2inch.

Apparent growth is usually done by the early 20s, with the bones still developing to 25. That varies individual by individual. Many if no most people shrink back down an inch or more by age 50. The mind, however, can continue to grow by the willful process of learning for those who so choose.
