According to the article, the technology fund "could help foster the development of new computer technology or telecommunications businesses, or widen access to broadband Internet services." If that's the case, I see no problem.
The operative word being used there, though, is "could." Meaning, there's a pretty good chance that it won't.
Quite frankly I do find it suspicious (but for the record, I find basically everything the government does to be at least vaguely suspicious). I guess my question being why this is being done. That article was pretty vague about the whole thing, and surely there are more productive ways to "purge suspicion and discord."

it doesn't matter if we give all the money in the world to get the homeless off the streets.
a lot of people are homeless because they are crazy. they cannot pay anything because the self medicate & they can't function in normal society. that is why they are on the streets.
i would give you -5 for being a stupid asshole, but i know that DRs don't do anything & i actually couldn't care less about it.
