Years ago Id invite them over in a heartbeat. But today Im too scard. What I would do is go home and make him up a wonderful plate and take it to him with all the fixins. Been homeless on Thanksgiving and Christmas before and know how sad it is.

I am involved with a local group that takes Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to both low income elderly and any homeless that are seen. Giving money to many homeless will not guarantee a nutritious meal. More likely it will be used for alcohol or drugs.
-
I give them bus fare to the local shelter that serves thanks giving dinner
-
I'm just as poor as he is. I can't invite him to dinner, I have no dinner. I'll give him two or three cigarettes if he wants them, though.
-
I'd offer to take them to a shelter or place which serves Thanksgiving meals. Since I work at a residential group home for adults with disabilities; I am working on Turkey-Day. :)
-
I give them the Help Wanted section of our local newspaper.
-
I usually scream obscenities at homeless people, but on Thanksgiving I would probably just throw half-eaten turkey legs at them.
-
This year I'm not sure where I'll be. Either older sibling will invite me to her place, or I'll sit at home and eat my own turkey I cooked... The second option sounds damn good...I can get drunk too..
-
Neither. With all the homeless people I have to turn a blind eye and be graetful it's not me. Yet.

If he likes spit then he's in for a feast.

I might offer them money.. Depends. I've met many who won't take food but demand money.. at which point, I decide they don't deserve the money or the food.
