I heard that special ed teachers earn an average salary/compensation of $2500000 per year is this true?

    Do you have too many zeros in your number? I have never ever heard of a teacher making $2.5M; not even the State Education Director makes THAT much! and that's an AVERAGE per your question? I think NOT!

    subtract about 2 million, and you will be closer to the salary of one that has maxed out on their capabilities for raises

    $2.5 million is probably a little bit overstated. They will generally be paid at the same level as other teachers in their district
