Blame it on the typing. Typos are much less problematic.

Haha I have that problem with "maintenance" and "necessary" it's really quite preposterous.

You don't have a "memory help," as I do.

I could never remember if it was "occa" or "ocass."

Then, a buddy gave me a "memory help" for that word, which I will now give you:

Pretend that you have just asked a lovely Mexican girl to have sex with you. How does she respond?

She enthusiastically says, "Oh! Si! Si!"

And THAT is how you remember to spell it, "O! C! C!"

See?

It's a commonly misspelled word. Just remember it has two 'c's. and two l's.

Just remember an anagram for it like 2 c's and 2'ls when you picture the word. You'll get over it. I spell receive and the i before e words wrong after the c all the time.
