Kids learn from adults around them. So do you spell some words instead so the kids don't pick them up?

I do spell some words...not so they don't pick them up, but because I don't want them to know something usually. Like today when I spelled P-A-R-K to the bigger sister cause I wasn't sure we were going and didn't want to get the 3 year old all too excited in case we couldn't. Of course, then the 6 year old said P-A-R-K, that spells PARK! lol My plan fell through. Oh well.
