I would like to see it in the USA since I only fly if an emergency.
In many parts of the world, yes. I only wish it were true in the U.S. There are a few great passenger trains, but our rail travel has fallen into unpopularity. It is really a great way to travel. I remember many cross-country trips in my childhood very fondly. I even made one alone at age twelve. It was thought the safest at the time. Probably true. The conductor sort of took me under his wing. He even gave me a guided tour from one end to the other, which included the engine and the 'caboose'....He was a great old guy. His name was George. He had started working for the railroad as a section hand in his teens.
Have you ever ridden a super train, one of those really fast trains? Seems to be perfect in Japan.
