I kind of dissagree with alot of stuff being said.
One person did say what I think, and thats that some people dont need a ton of people in their lives at once.
My brother, for instance, has only been "hanging out with" his fiance and her friends for a while now. (Like a few years actually)

It may not be normal, but it's not necessarily harmful. Some people are introverted and don't need a lot of people in their lives. If they are happy, that is fine. Of course, if you are lonely for more company, then it probably is unhealthy. It is nice to have friends to hang out with when the SO is not available.
