Nobody really wants money, they just want what (they think) money buys.
For some it's power, for others it's freedom, for many (especially women) it's security, and still others (especially men) it's honor/respect ...
but what everyone wants - whether they realize it or not - is status: the feeling of being above and the common horde and as many other people as possible. And if you've ever had a taste for what it's like to be "to the manor born" it's very hard to get the desire for it out of your system. This impulse is particularly pronounced in high-level, big-buck corruption.
Should a guy hit a girl back if she hits him first & he can't get away from her/ I say yes, you? why?
