Help answer this question below.
College sophomores are in their second year at the college or university level. Whether the college has semesters or quarters, a freshman who has completed at least 30 credits of study is considered in sophomore standing. Most colleges require a minimum of 120 credits to complete an undergraduate degree. A freshman needs to complete 10 classes to become a sophomore. The first 10 classes are usually general education classes outside of a student's major. These classes include subjects such as math, English and science. Once a student becomes a sophomore, he completes his general education classes and also take prerequisite classes for his major. Freshman classes usually ease a student into studying at the college level. It gives her a chance to explore what career path she wants to pursue. While many majors require at least 30 credits to advance to being a sophomore, students should check with their academic adviser as different majors have different requirements.Time Frame
