If the bank now owns the property they do not have to full-fill the last owners contracts. It may be that the bank would let you stay untill you find a new apartment if you speak to them and explain why you can not leave at this time. Otherwise the bank could have you removed since they are the new owners and want you out. Ask them to give you back any rent you may have paid in advance or the deposite you may have paid when renting the house. Perhaps you can stop payment on the last check you gave them.
Why dont people move to Australia if you can basically swap a council house in England for a mansion down under?
