Help answer this question below.
1) I am not sure if I understand this question. How could something that is on earth not be a part of it?
What comes to mind is:
- the Arctic ice cap
- the Antarctic ice cap
The Antarctic ice cap is much bigger, but it is "somehow" attached to the Antarctic continent.
The Actic ice cap is only loosely attached to the surrounding continents, it rather floats on the ocean and moves around.
Both caps vary in mass with the seasons.
2) "The Great Pyramid of Cholula, also known as Tlachihualtepetl (Nahuatl for "artificial mountain"), is a huge complex located in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico. It is the world's largest monument and largest Pre-Columbian pyramid by volume.
The temple-pyramid complex was built in four stages, starting from the 3rd century BCE through the 9th century CE, and was dedicated to the deity Quetzalcoatl. It has a base of 450 by 450 m (1476x1476 ft) and a height of 66 m (217 ft). According to the Guinness Book of Records, it is in fact the largest pyramid as well as the largest monument ever constructed anywhere in the world, with a total volume estimated at over 4.45 million m³, even larger than that of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt which is about 2.5 million m³. However the Great Pyramid of Giza is higher at 138.8 m (455 feet). The Aztecs believed that Xelhua built the Great Pyramid of Cholula."

The Great Pyramid of Egypt
It Weighs 6 million tons
I would venture to guess that the earth's crust is pretty heavy.
Ok, I'm editing my answer to only include movable [solid] objects. I had to first think of all of the types of objects that would not be included. The heaviest I would have to say [probably] be some sort of ship (of this I am not certain). The Knock Nevis (a oil tanker that has been renamed many times over the years) has a unladen weight of 564,763 tons. It has a laden weight of 825,614GLW metric tons. It is so large that, while fully laden, it cannot pass through the 32 mile wide English channel due to the enormous difficulty of maneuvering it. It is so large that just the hold could carry the St. Pauls Cathedral 4 times over.

You're reading What do you think is the heaviest solid object on Earth, that isn't attached to it, or part of it?

Lol, I originally said "the ocean", but then he edited his question to basically make my answer "wrong" ;p

Matrixbarf: yes, it had to be solid...

Yeah, that's what I was saying. Originally he did not specify it had to be solid. After I answered, he edited the question ;p
