Racism depends on disliking people of an ethnicity because they are of that ethnicity. The person who hates all of a nation of people belonging to different races does not fall into that category unless the person hates everyone of those ethnicities who are not from that nation.

That does not mean that they are not bigoted for hating all people in a certain nation. Racism is just one form of bigotry.

If they object to the policies of the government of that country, like so many object to American government, but do not hate the people living there, I do not consider them a bigot.

Racism is definitely directed at a race, not a country. Bigotry can apply to xenophobia and jingoism though.

Insulting a country full of people of other races doesn't make you a bigot.

For example, I strongly dislike the North Korean state, but I don't have any bad feelings toward Korean people.

It is when you target people specifically, for WHAT they are (i.e. Asian) rather than WHO they are (i.e. Good/Bad person), that you get into murky waters...

Racism simply means that you rely upon a person's race as an element in making decisions about their character and worthiness. It can be in any setting.

Racism is but one type of bigotry. A bigot generalizes about people on the basis of race, religion, nationality, etc. That too can be in any setting, and often without the person recognizing that they are making irrational generalizations.

Racism is a belief. It does not depend upon the type of country you were born or live in. A person who is offensive to a sociological race is most probably racist.

Someone who is offensive or has hatred to a race is a racist..however if they are offenive about those belonging to a certain country this is viewed more as prejudice rather than racism simply because they are prejudging someone associated with that particular country..
example..all british people are white because they come from Britain..and so on..
However, racism can also be aimed at a country..for example..someone may not visit a country because they hate all******** (whatever the race)!!!
Either way each would be seen as very offensive..
Of course a bigot is someone who prejudice and intolerant to anyone else's opinions..

Virtually everyone is a bigot on some level, even if it's bigotry against bigots.

In my opinion racism is directed at an individual - we all make generalisations about races; the stereotype of the German putting their towel on a sunbed then going off to breakfast on holiday, that sort of thing.

I believe it becomes racism when an individual is singled out because of the colour of their skin or their country of origin.

I think the attached Avenue Q song illustrates what I mean:

Racist/Bigot....those who hate people of whom they disapprove. It can be politics/religion/lifestyle/ethnic background. A racist/bigot wants to destroy those he/she hates. I find people who use vulgar language very offensive but I don't think they necessarily hate me nor I them. Being "offensive" is common, ordinary and we all find some things/people offensive and undoubtedly others find us offensive. That is a long stretch from racist/bigot/hatemonger/destroyer. :)

Racism, as the word would indicate, is not feeling of ill will toward a nation, but toward a race.

To my mind it's not necessarily the offensive who are the racists, most times it's the offended who are the racists. The ones who are always making issues of race, claiming discrimination, trying to violently right wrongs instead of moving ahead in peace, attempting social upheaval on account of differences in opinions from race to race. It's called race baiting, it's racially motivated on account of socially ingrained bigotry, and most of those who practice this form of racism are largely in denial over it.

Many people offend others simply by being ignorant of the sensitivities of the offended party or group. I would not bring consequences to someone who offended me simply because they just don't know what offends me. I would not call them names, expect reparations, or exact any vengeance and I expect the same courtesy.
