There have been some new discoveries that could be added. I recently ran across the "Gospel of Thomas" online and I'm reading it now.

Into what? Everything man touches is immediately corrupted, especially religion. I say just leave the thing alone before any more damage can be done. The possible exception would be to include all those books that were thrown out by men who had no right to make that decision for the rest of us. Typical humanity. +5

There have been revisions as spurious additions have been revealed. One example is at Mark 16:17,18 where it talks about handling serpants and drinking poison to prove you believe. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark16:9-20;&version=NIV;NKJV;NCV;ESV;NASB; A few other examples that I have noticed are noted in my answer about the Sinaitic MS: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7025764
Anyone who wants to keep on seeking will find, through prayer and research. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7133378

It is periodically necessary as language changes. Ever tried to read the King James Bible? The language is over 600 years old, and is British.

Also, as scholars better understand the ancient versions of Hebrew and Greek, subtle changes may be made to more accurately, even if slightly, express the thought.

It's been tampered with so much already that it's incoherent enough as it is. Leave it alone.

Scrapping all monotheists scripture, --Koran included-- would be better. That would be the day!

It should be revised into the same class of literature as Aesop's Fables.

It's been an on-going revision since first the hearsay was jotted down. Why not do it again and get rid of some of those particularily dodgy passages, especially Paul - very un-PC
