  • Not sure what the rules are where you live, but in Australia, the person to whom the car is registered to - therefore the owner - is responsible for who they let drive their car, and will be fined accordingly if they allow someone unsuitable to drive their vehicle. Speed limits are implemented for a reason and must be adhered to within reason, but especially in school zones. Speeding in a school zone is never acceptable. I think, unfortunately, you're just going to have to learn from your mistake and pay the fine, or do the time. Good luck.
  • You can plead to the judge she did so without your consent. Then perhaps the penalty will be shifted over to the driver rather than the owner.
