Whats better? a funny answer or a useful one?

I think a useful answer is better, but a little funny doesn't hurt once in a while.

A useful one. Funny answers are ok if they also answer the question. If not it's just annoying.

I like both. It takes talent to provide useful information while also providing entertainment. I can always use a good laugh.

It depends on what type of question is. There was a question about depression, and the person was asking what he should do about it, and someone answered, "you should jump off a bridge". The person was looking for help, and someone told him to kill himself. If the question's funny, then I think a funny answer should be given. If the question's serious, like medical questions and such, then I think the answer should be useful. I'd prefer both though, I love an answer that's both useful, on the point, but full of jokes.

Both. There's nothing wrong with getting your point across with humour. And it reminds you no to take everything so seriously all the time.

it depends on if my question is serious or not...if its in the category of "out of the bag" then id more be expecting a funny answer...although if its in the "relationship advice" column id be expecting a serious answer...

I believe a funny answer worded properly can be also useful.
