Question

Help answer this question below.

I got a bill from a debt collector awhile back, and I sent in a payment right away. Now they're calling me, telling me I hadn't paid. How do I deal with this? I have proof on my bank statement saying that they cashed the check.

Tell them the transaction number and your bank and tell them it's between them and the bank. If they don't stop then tell them they will be taken to court for pestering you.

You know what I would do? I would tell them to go to hell and tell them to sue me. Then, in Court, present the bank statement and the cancelled cheque to the Judge and he/she will throw the case out.
