You can call your local pharmacist and ask him about side affects. If headache is one of them, I would contact the doctor and see if there is something else you can be put on. Or call the doc directly! You can also google 'cymbalta' and see what the internet says for side affects.

My wife was prescribed Cymbalta from her doctor. she tells me that she did not have a headache at all with the medicene, until the end.

It worked really great for her, EXCEPT, when she attempted to stop the medication. her doctor backed her off Cymbalta very slowly. in spite of this, my wife suffered for a week with withdrawal sypmptoms.

She stated that her head felt like small sparks were occuring on the left side of her brain. my wife did not act right. slurred speech, slow movements and an overall feeling of lack of motivation. we were really concerned for her for about two weeks. one night, her symptoms became so acute, that i took her to the ER. she said her heart was skipping beats. this proved to be true and the blame was the withdrawal of Cymbalta.

If you do not positively have to take this medication, i would not advise it. i am no doctor, but i do know what my wife went through with the withdrawal symptoms and i would not wish this on anyone.
