Help answer this question below.

How can I transfer files from my old hardrive to a new computer? My old computer does not work and all that is good from it is the hard drive and I dont want to lose my files.

    Very easy solution here. As long as you are *sure* your old hard drive is ok, simply take it out of your old computer and plug it into your new one as a secondary drive. Doing this will allow it to be read in Windows as a "D" drive or whatever letter next in line. You will be able to browse it just like any other hard drive, the only difference is that your operating system will not be running from it. This might sound complicated to a computer newbie, but it is really not that hard. It just takes a phillips head screwdrive. Pay attention to how it is plugged in when you take it out of the new computer, and plug it into the old one just the same. There are plenty of places online to get help with installing a secondary hard drive. PC World.com is one.
