Is there oil in Africa?
Well, I mean, we could help them out with all the grain we have stored thats our surplus, but they don't give that away or sell it in the name of "controlling prices". so that's my biggest dilemma with that
There is no such thing as global warming. There are famines in Africa because they drove all of the farmers out and there is no one there to farm. Keep on listening to Al Gore.
Easy does it, kiddo. There's been famines in Africa for centuries. It's not Global Warming's (GW) fault. But it IS George Bush's fault. Yeah, that's it.

It would be nice to see some leadership in this area... such as strategic stockpiles of wheat and evaporated milk. Instead there are farmers dumping millions of gallons of milk... and many other kinds of large-scale waste.

True, but the problem is with distribution and transportation: getting food from where it is grown to where it is needed.
