That's awesome! It makes me glad to know that most of the older folks in my family enjoy playing on the 'net. :)
I had always thought the brain gets to work better with exposure to new ideas and the thought process that ensues does result in a new kind of brain activity opening up new neuron pathways.
As I was growing older my father always suggested I must keep my mind active all the time to make sure the brain power built up over the years does not fall into disuse and gets lost. He in his old age was finding new things to do all the time to exercise his brain!
Now the link provided by you confirms my father's theory about brain activity. All of his life was spent in the pre-internet era.
I can very well relate to the research findings and confirm its observations as excellent from personal experience.
I welcome your suggestion for asking more of my older friends to join the answerbag wholeheartedly. Once in the Answerbag people always get to click on links and realize the joys that the internet has to offer. That will keep their brains healthy.
