Who doesn't know that George Bush left our country in economic peril? But Obama has been in office for almost a year now! When will the democrats start admitting that Obama has (so far) failed as a President (econmically speaking) and stop blaming Bush?

They never will admit that they are failing...they need to use that fallback on past administrations to try to keep there support and approval ratings up(not working). They just keep saying that we didnt realize how bad it was...well Mr Obama you were a senator and had you actually attended some of the sessions you would have know the country situation.

Why would they stop blaming the man who put the country in such economic peril? Obama might not (though I think he will) fix things, but they are still broken by the man who broke them. You want 4 more years of neo-cons to FIX the problem? That does not compute.

bush had a great deal to do with the debt the country's in now obama has to fix it fixing a whole country's economic issues doesn't happen over night and his plan is already working.. i don't agree that he's failed as a president bush didn't fix anything over night he let things crash and burn over night though did you know that his favorite moment being president was catching a bass in a lake? yeah what a genious definitely not the one to blame.......

I know lots of people who know this about Obama, but will never admit it. History will tell the truth about the Bush years, but people who praise Obama will still be blaming Bush 10 years from now. The actual blame starts with Clinton and his policies, but he is never mentioned.

The United States is for lack of a better work, doomed, at least economically. The Federal Reserve, with its practice of Fractional-reserve banking is largely to blame for the collapse of banks around the country. Logically, how can printing and lending more money than is avaiable ever be good for an economy? All it does is make the money we are getting worth less, while interest remains unchanged. More money printed (even if you aren't neccesarrily being paid more) also leads to an increase on the price of goods, due to the quantity theory of money. No single person, the President included, is going to be able to fix such a deep-rooted problem. No "good" politician ever admits they are wrong, unless they are trying to get sympathy or the proof is overwhelming.

for some Obama supporters, George Bush is to blame for all bad news. They will ride that horse as long as the media and the people let them. I do think most people are starting to see that Obama's policies have taken a bad situation and made it much worse. We are at almost 10% unemployment when he promised the stimulus would keep it at 8%. He has tripled the deficit. I don't know if the economy can stand three more years of this.

I've noticed that many of the 'sins' of Obama are in fact Bu$h's. The party of personal responsibility would have us believe that Bu$h was the equivalent of Enoch. When the Conservatives of America grow up and swallow their own pride (hell freezing over), then we'll talk. Until then. No. Obama has had less than one year to excise the cancers that Bu$h gleefully injected into the body politics. Bu$h gets blamed, because he's at fault. You folks had total control for years, and somehow it's ALWAYS the fault of the Big Bad Democrats.

Duh, it's nine months since Obama took over from Bush and if the problem was created when Bush was Prez then no amount of time since Bush left office is going to make it anyone else s responsibility but Bush's. How many YEARS did it take FDR to sort out Herbert Hoovers depression? 7 or 8 wasn't it? Well this Depression may take as long or longer to sort out because the country is bankrupt and all those who have taken money out of this country in profit don't seem to want to invest in it anymore....like Vikings on a raid - they steal the gold and rape the women and then it's back on the long-ships to Norway. Spare me the snipes about Obama - your far too early to start on him for failed economic policies...some of these things take years to show results - not months. And don't worry - if Obama screws up we will ditch him and get another idiot to take his place - because unlike some of the conservatives I know - most progressives vote for the man or woman themselves - with little for the party they belong too.
