A buddhist monk should stick to the facts.
All Buddhas will point to the Dhamma-Vinaya.
What does Jesus point at?
The point of Buddhism is to awaken from the belief systems and automated / conditioned thinking and behavior which are the survival machinery of the ego. So a monk who "chooses to believe" in some dubious proposition is sort of missing the point of his practice. That's not the same as saying its 'wrong', but it's a step backwards for mental clarity.
Why do Buddhists shave their heads? Rather than being a sign of humility, is this not MORE image-conscious, because of the effort required?
