  • well I think it was a cover of the song made popular by Roberta Flack and was inspired by Lori lieberman seeing Don Mclean in concert. Actually composed by Charles Fox and Norman Gimble So I don't think it has anything to do with the Fuggies, it wasn't well know and doing a cover was an easy money maker for them.
  • Halitosis? ;-)
  • It wasn't by the Fugees. I'd heard it by Perry Como decades earlier (except he sang "killing me softly with her song"), and even he was doing a cover version.
  • Emotional cheating..:)
  • "Killing Me Softly" was originally done by Roberta Flack back in the '70's. The song tells about the girl is listening to a singer, and everything he is singing about she feels he is singing to her and about her, as if he can see inside her soul and her heart. One line of the song says "I felt he found my letters and read each one out loud."
