Most scoring systems today is on a 10 point must system.

10-point must system, where the winner of the round must be awarded 10 points. 10-9 is a typical score for a round. A 10-8 or 10-7 round usually indicates there's been at least one knockdown or the action was severely lopsided. The referee can deduct points for fouls.

The judges judge a round on clean punching, effective aggression, ring generalship, and defense.

in say a four round fight- in boxing- they can do many ways but there are main ones- they declare one boxer the winner of each round and the winner will get 10 points for a round, the loser only 9. in the end someone will have more points. Or they count how many times the glove properlly hit the opponent, whoever landed more in a round gets 10 points.
