Help answer this question below.

I have a DAV SC8 which refuses to play the disc
then it refuses to eject, and I get STANDBY flashing at me, Your help please.

    There might be a reset button on the front plate, look for a needle-with hole, insert a fine stick to push a very sensible button inside, so push slowly and carefully... lights should indicate resetting, and tray opens in most cases.

    Please uninstall the drive drivers and also reseat the drive once
