What difference does it make doing a virus or spyware scan when the computer is in safe mode?

Well, 80% of viruses are made by naab lamers, who have no life, so they invent destroyers, just to trash something, but they don't bother on making it professional type, so viruses can be turned off easly. Some viruses will only start with "normal mode", because then all "run this and that too" modules will be activated. If a lamer is that dumb to only make virus depend on normal mode launch, then in safe-mode the virus will not be activated on boot, because windows will be started with minimal set drivers and "run this and that too" will be excluded.

the way i look at it is that there are fewer processes running for a virus to hide in when you start in safe mode. that way you will get a more complete scan
