  • not sure what ur asking, but in most states rapid acceleration is cited as careless or reckless driving so there is no 'limit' that I know of, but....
  • If you accelerate fast enough to make the tires squeal, they can cite you for exhibition speed, which is really pretty much the same thing.
  • It depends on the intent of the max. acceleration. If you are drag racing someone on a public street, thats intent to break the law, with max. acceleration. If you are entering the interstate and go to max. acceleration to 70 mph for safety, there is no intent there. Criminal law and traffic laws are all based on intent.
  • If you spin the tires they can charge you in NY with a few different charges. Including Reckless driving, or A Competition Start.
  • No - there are some general laws such as neglect, reckless driving, willful endangerment, etc that are somewhat subjective in meaning and you may well get ticketed. +5
