When you award points for a question or answer, do you give your maximum to everyone, or do you rate the "quality" of post by the number of points you give?

I typically give the maximum...but if there is a case where a question is "helpful"...but only barely so as it doesn't little to address the question, I'll scale down my points a bit.

Most of the time i give the maximum if i'm going to answer the question. If the question is not a serious one i use a lot of humor because it makes me feel good & i enjoy others having a good laugh too. The Ab'ers humor has got me through some rough times :) +5

I generally give the maximum. There are some few exceptions, though. On the other hand, when I rate the answers of a question that I did not ask, I try to give the best answers more points. I would give also the maximum points for answers or questions that I consider wrongly downrated. And I never give downratings myself.
