  • it is the other way around.
  • OK, my 5th grader got this for h/w and I KNOW IT IS THE MOON'S GRAVITATIONAL FORCE THAT CAUSES THE DAILY HIGH AND LOW TIDES ON THE EARTH.....HOWEVER ..THE QUESTION WAS "WHAT EFFECTS DO DAILY TIDES HAVE ON THE MOON'S GRAVITY?" AND I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR AN HOUR AND CANNOT FIND THE ANSWER, IS THE ANSWER THERE IS NO "EFFECT" THAT THE TIDES ON EARTH HAVE ON THE MOON'S GRAVITIONAL FORCES SINCE THEY ARE A CONSTANT?
  • uhmm it's the other way around the moon effects tides the Earth's gravity keeps the moon in orbit However without the moon we qwould have no atmosphere, it is theorized that the formation of the moon allow the Earth to develope the way it did without the moon thw Earths orbit around the sun would have changed drasticly over the eons
