I'm going to need a new set of tires for my Honda Civic sedan before another New York winter sets in. I tried to find ratings on all-season tires, but every rating site recommends a different brand. Any suggestions?

Most of the major brands are not going to have a nickel worths of difference in quality. Go with what you want and move on to the rest of life. +5

Why don't you put the brand of tires that already on there and use all weather. Don't make this out of a big project because before you know it, winter will be here and you will be without tires.

That should tell you something. All brands produce the same quality tires, or near enough not to matter. Just go with what you like.

tires are tires about the same price = about the same quality. ratings sites are unreliable because they can be owned or paid by the "wining" Brand.

Nokian Vativa's. They come from Finland I think. They are a very aggressive tread but ride very quiet. You'll love them. I have them on my truck and Im putting them on my Car too. They are very reasonably priced too.

I can only advise you from experience. I have a 91 Honda with 83,000 original miles on it. I have only used Michelin tires with great success. Buy them only from a tire store, not Walmart.
