While there are periods when the chances are decreased and increased, there are always chances.
This page: http://www.epigee.org/guide/rhythm.html explains a lot about how humans operate. Unfortunately it does not appear to include the warning that many who use this method as the sole source of contraception are called parents.
Well they do: The rhythm method has an average failure rate of 13 to 20%. It is not recommended for women who have irregular cycles or who do not have menstrual cycles that are exactly the same number of days every month.
However I feel the way I say it gets the point across in clearer language.
If you do not want to be a parent, do the following:
Get on the Pill.
Use a spermicide (buy it, read the direction).
AND insist he wears a condom.
Mind no contraceptive method is 100% effective, using a group of three in this manner reduces the chance of pregnancy to 0.001% and less if used properly.
