How frequently do you downrate AB members?

I've never, in 3 years, downrated a member. I've downrated questions or answers about 3% of the time, I believe.

I don't, at least not yet. Instead of giving DR's, I just don't give them anything.

When I was new, a lot of times. Didn't know the protocol of AB. Nowadays, maybe once a month. I have a 98%+ ratings given. - And you CL gets a plus 100 points from me. Unfortunately, AB limits me to 5.

I don't rate questions up or down. At least, not yet, as I'm new to this site. I only answer them if I have an opinion or an educated answer. When I have a question to ask, I'll ask it. But it's not going to be a trivial question.

I used to. Now it's never - I can't do it anymore. I'm sure some people ask questions 'begging' to be DR'd but I've got my % to think about. and it's not just about points, I rate comments and answers more than points. But........ ........................... .......................I actually regret that 'points given' will never be 100% How cold am I!

I don't DR members, I DR answers/questions. (Meaning, I've never gone after someone and DRd them all over the place.) I wouldn't say I do it very often ... my stats are 94% + ratings given so I guess that means I DR 6% of the time.

I'll only downrate someone who I know downrates me. Other than that I don't downrate for no good reason.

Hardly ever..I like to posi-troll :D The only time I have DR'ed is when people are totally rude or write really cruel things.. example: there was a guy on here who was going onto people's threads and starting arguments..but he called people some of the rudest names..it was horrible..in the end I had to ask CL to remove stuff he language was so inappropriate..he wasn't a AB user for long so I guess he got fed up or kicked off.. I DR'ed him and I would again..but I let him know I did in my own way!!! other than that I don't :D

I don't DR very often. When I do, it is generally not for opinion but for unintelligible, factually incorrect, or offensive questions or answers. Ironically, I DR'd today for someone who said that it might not really be rape becuase the person felt physical pleasure during the act (constituting consent during the act) even though they did not consent before the act and told the person no. I DR'd that one and told them why they were wrong. I also considered the answer offensive, but not enough so that I would flag it.

Once so far, for an offensive question, and I explained why in my answer. If I come across a question or answer that has been trolled, or DR'd for no good reason I will uprate it.

Once or twice when they really hit a nerve. Incidentally I appear to have a 100% rating..... I have always wondered about that.

According to my stats, about 1% of the time. Although I'm tempted to downrate many submissions that I find unhelpful, I try to use certain judgment and consider if a flag be it Offensive, Spam, Nonsense, etc. might help the site better by getting rid of the posting altogether. I've noticed that many times I don't downrate wrong answers (mostly factual) but instead point other correct answers so they can be on top, while the "bad" answers remain at the bottom with zero points. Same goes for questions that ask for opinion. If one is given and I certainly don't agree with it, I generally don't downrate but tend to comment under it.

I would only do that to someone who attacked me; because they are delusional. Some people can not handle the facts because they document that their beliefs are not true. They are so irrational that they lash out with viscous names and negative points. It only makes me laugh out loud very hard. I usually ignore them like files but sometimes they don't want to go away. In general I would never criticize anyone or down grade them.

Never What's unforgiveable is to DR without comment, the only way for bigots to survive I suppose.

I've never DR'd anyone. ooooh, but I've been tempted. If someone posts false information I will comment corrections and not give a positive rating. Then sometimes they attack me for having the nerve to correct them, I sooo would like to give their incorrect answer a DR at that point. But so far I have refrained.

only when i just feel that one answer is better than the other, and on the odd occasion when im in a bad mood and only if they do it to me first, but its not always been like that, ab has taught me a lot

Never - if I want the right to say what I want to, so does everybody else. I will comment or report on anything I find inaccurate or offensive though.
