  • Well, first of all, do not be offended by anything I say here. I have absolutely no problem with Hispanic people living in the US. I think they don't assimilate as well because instead of intergrating into the local community, they tend to open their own places to shop, eat,spend time, or worship and then stick with other people who are Hispanic. I guess they do this to feel comfortable, but it doesn't help their assimilation.
  • I don't know how true that is, but it doesn't really help them blend in if Spanish is being offered every where. Separate languages makes for more of a separate society. If I went to a Spanish speaking country and they offered to speak to me in English I don't think that I would be as motivated to learn their language so quickly.
