  • About an hour, but the old man and I were much younger then. :(
  • Once for about a week...I miss it lol
  • Two days, following abdominal surgery. I was told that I healed amazingly quickly.
  • the last 2 years off and on. It's tough, and presents worries about finances too. +5
  • Three weeks.
  • Two weeks with the Bangkok flu, it's the sickest I have ever been.
  • 2-3 days really bad trying to get up and about all over again
  • Two weeks flat on my back...I couldn't move. I "ate" off a tray on my chest. Fortunately my mom lived with us because it was bedpans(TMI) for those two weeks. It was the scariest time of life. I hurt my back very badly and it would spasm every time I tried to lift my head.
  • 4 months, this was 5 yrs ago after a sever car wreck that it took the Medics 2 hours to cut me out of the car with the jaws of life. I had multiple compound fractures in my lower right leg, turned my right ankle into mush (no rebuilding done, had to BUILD me a NEW ankle), 7 broken ribs, inhaled all the chemicals from the air bag, muscle damage in both legs and stomach, cut in right knee 3in long, 1/2in wide, 1 in deep, lost 4 pints of blood. Was black, blue, purple from the top of my head to the tip of my toes on almost every square inch of my body, front and back by the time they Care Flighted me to the Hospital. Had to have a section of my right leg about the size of a mayonnaise jar lid cut out through the tissue almost to the bone, nothing but a big gaping whole there (my son had to clean daily for 3 1/2 of those 4 months) (Doctors said skin would not grow back, trauma and damage too bad - it grew back in 3 months!!!!!) Was in the ICU Ward at the hospital for 2 weeks, then at home in a hospital bed for another 3 1/2 months. Could not get out of bed except to go to the porta potty (not an interesting trip I'll tell ya (lol)). Love watching TV, but have to admit, even with 150 channels, it got boring, I became a channel surfer (lol). But Praise the Lord, I'm still here, walking. (may have slowed me down, but it didn't stop me).
  • about a week following surgery on my stomach
  • Less than a day with the flu
  • I was in a full body cast for 6 weeks...does that count?
