since she's going first, i assume that she's the one who took out the restraining order? did he violate the order? if he did violate the order, it's usually written in very specific terms. perhaps he is mentally ill or mentally retarded so that he couldn't help it or understand it? if i violated it, i'd probably throw myself at the mercy of the court, ask for help (counseling) to get over this ex-relationship, and hope for the best. if he denies it and she produces a witness, the judge will assume he's lied ... best of luck to you and your grandson.
