    wen everyone die

    EDIT:

I love the whole scene beginning when the Fellowhip enter the woods of Lórien and Galadriel, The Lady of the Wood, sees the Fellowship off and into the river Auduin. I especially love when Galadriel tells Frodo to look into the mirror. The mirror that shows "things that were ...things that are ...and some things that have not yet come to pass."

Unlike most LOTR fans my favorite installment of the movie was The Fellowship of the Ring. I like to see where a journey begins- I find that most exciting.

I haven't read the books yet. I read The Hobbit, and although I love the story itself J.R.R Tolkien's writing isn't for me. It was a short book but it took me ages to finish. I can't wrap my head around his writing style. I still plan to read the books, just not now. In truth I'm a total LOTR freak. I'm one of those girls who hangs out at renaissance faires and listens to too much Enya, to not read the books would be blasphemous to my people.

Now, I demand you rate this back up!

When Boromir fights the uruk-hai and Lurtz shoots him. Boromir (along with Faramir) is my favorite character, I guess. cry everytime I watch it. or the part where Gandalf saves the Gondor soldiers from the Nazgul using his staff; the hole music/image experience gives me goosebumps.

The scenes just before and during the battle at Helms Deep (The two Towers). Much more dramatic than the Final Battle in "Return of the King" IMHO.

I love in Fellowship when Legolas takes an arrow and stabs an orc then uses the same arrow to kill another orc.

The last scene on The Two Towers, where Gandalf and the riders of Rohan came to the rescue during the battle of Helms Deep.

'For the king' was the battle cry. It gave me goosebumps.

In Return of the King, when Gollum is writhing around in mid-air on the invisible Frodo's back, above the lava pit.

Not to impune the book, nor the movies, which are masterpieces, but that scene - in all it's ridiculousness - slays me every time.
