the denser the people the more aggresive the population
-
Somewhat true. People feel that have to protect their possessions and insure a place for themselves among the many.
-
Not a universal truism. There are many densely populated cities/countries that are very "civilized" and polite in their relations. It depends on the culture..not the population density. In many sparsely populated areas the people can be most "unfriendly" and aggressive..."You ain't from around here, are you?...You..ahh..got business here 'bouts?"
-
The denser the population the more leeway for aggression, seems to be the problem.
-
Survival of the more fit not always had to do with agression, but also with witts, coeficient of intelligence, and principles.
-
Your statement could be right. People fight to carve out a territory for themselves same as animals do. With greater population density the aggressive nature in human behavior could become more evident and apparent.
-
I'm not so sure. There are many aggressive militia groups that live in the hinterlands that are armed and dangerous and filled with hatred. :( There are many densly populated cities where people seem to be able to live peacefully with one another. :)

Someone been reading Malthus? I think it makes sense when explaining certain actions, but is not an universal mostly due to our laws. The basis for statements like that are normally things like food. The denser the population, the more fighting there is for the limited food supply. Something we do see in places with limited food supplies.

I don't think so. Agressive populations are generally born out of poverty and a lack of proper outlet for agression. Part of this can be seen in schools today, with an increasing gap between rich and poor. Compounded with that is the taboo against violence which leads people to repress it until it bursts out. Much better to have a schoolyard tussle to vent it, or do boxing or other martial arts as a _part of school_ in order to channel our agressive tendencies (which are good and necessary to have) properly.
-
That's very true. They become pushier less tolerant of others, and more self centered. Country folk are just more laid back, and never in a rush.
-
I don't think that's true. More people = more bad people proportionally, and then the media reports it.
-
Of course not. Look at Tokyo. Thats extremely dense, yet its one of the safest cities in the world.
-
Not entirely, but NJ and NY are prime examples lol.
