Question

Help answer this question below.

I believe in God in my own way, funny thing is, I would not have obtained this position if there wasn't organised religion. So, if it wasn't for the belief systems I did not agree with, I wouldn't have found God. Anyone else feel this way?

I don't think there is a denomination that, for most people, one can completely agree. I left the denomination in which I was raised when I left home. I've been part of another, more liberal, denomination since then. Do I agree with every thing that it encompasses? Of course not. But I do like to be part of a Christian community and that is what the Church is.

Many people have found God this way. It is by rejecting what feels insincere and finding your own path that works. Religion is not the important factor, spirituality is.

What do you mean I love God in my own way? There is only one way to love God if you really look at it. God loves us by given his only begoten son. WE put him to death by are sins.
I love God with all my heart and soul I can careless what other people say or think becouse God always keeps his word. By blind faith we beleive!!

As my parents are both pretty much atheist, I would have never found out about God through them. At about 16 years of age, I started attending a Salvation Army meeting every Sunday afternoon, because my friend went.

So, yes, I felt that I needed to attend church, in order to become aware of God, Jesus and the Bible......however, eventually I found out about the whole "Trinity doctrine" issue; which I came to realise that I have zero understanding of it; and therefore zero belief in....so I ultimately left.

Since leaving, I have found that the relationship between myself, God and Jesus is growing stronger every day......

Yes, "church" can point you in the direction of God, Jesus and the Bible.....but in my experience, it didn't help me with my relationship with them...if anything, it was more of a hindrance for me.....

    Peace Truth and Love....:)
