Help answer this question below.
I'm guessing those people usually are depressed and so forth, and use auto mutilation as a coping device to deal with the emotional pain, which explains the "lack" of pain, or rather, the relief at feeling it in the face of misery.
Either way though, of course they get injured. Sometimes minimally, sometimes it's significant. But eh...if I slash my arms with razor blades or crush cigarette butts on my inner thighs, logic dictates that injury shall indeed occur.
Of course, if we paid more attention to depression, anxiety and sexual abuse, we might very well stop believing in demonic possession or religious laissez faire.
Just a wild guess here, I am not an expert but I am still going to get this one right. Yes.
They do get burnt and feel pain after they come out of it.It is the physical body which undergoes that so it is bound to affect that person.+
uh duh, they get injured. just because they don't feel the pain doesn't mean it doesn't hurt them.

You're reading It's said, a person while possessed may burn or cut themselves, etc, but feel no pain. Do they get injured?

Oh my, Chainsaw; I was talking about people who are 'ridden' by the Voodun Loa. This isn't demonic possession; it is voluntary, and has been called a very intimate communion with the spirits of the land or those of deceased ancestors. Someone who's possessed may demonstrate his or her insensibility to pain -- acts like self-cutting are performed by the faithful while in a trance state. I asked if they get hurt because I've never heard a thing about the aftermath of such possession.
