  • yes, Read "The Shack" in it even people who committed the worst sins get into heaven because god died for our sins so we are absolved from them once we leave earth.
  • Jesus talked about Hell more than He did about Heaven. I don't see how you could.
  • Yes, one can be a Christian and not believe in a Fiery place of eternal punishment.... (Acts 2:25-27) For David says respecting him, (Jesus)...... 27 because you will not leave my soul in (hell) neither will you allow your loyal one to see corruption. The fact that Jehovah did not "leave" Jesus in hell implies that Jesus was in hell, at least for a time. The Greek word (hades) translated hell here in the K.James, is translated as place of the dead in the Catholic Knox version, Death in the New English version and as hades untranslated in the American Standard, Jerusalem Bible, New World translation, and the Revised Standard version. The Greek word hades translated hell in the Greek Scriptures refers to the common grave of all mankind
  • Here's another interesting question...Does anyone ever get out of the Bible hell? Rev. 20:13, 14, KJ: “The sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell* delivered up the 'DEAD' which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.” (So the dead will be delivered from hell. Notice also that hell is not the same as the lake of fire but will be cast into the lake of fire. In some of my other posts I have explained What the lake of fire was that Jesus used in his illustrations...Not a place of eternal torment.
  • Buehler...I'm a Christian and I do not believe in a place of eternal torment...How could anyone who claims to worship a loving believe in such a place is hard for me to understand. My great-grandfather was a Baptist ministry (thus my background) He used to preach hell-fire and damnation from the pulpit, but at home he would say: "We know there is no such place...but, we have to teach it. Otherwise, what would this world come to. So the idea was to scare people into worshiping God...Perhaps he was well intentioned...But people need to really stop and think what they are doing by teaching things that are not true.
