    Institute merit pay policies, weed curricula of extraneous feel-good crap, remove any school-sponsored activities that don't actually contribute to learning in some fashion, work hard on teaching critical thinking skills, expel students who misbehave in ways that are actually harmful either to other students or to learning in general, remove zero tolerance rules because I think directors should direct and administrators should administrate.
