Seeing all the shows others have listed, reminds me of all the ones I enjoyed. All in the Family broke so many rules and changed the way sitcoms and heroes were filmed. It has its own place in history. Mash will always be the thing that stops my channel scanning. I will never tire of it. The humanity and humor will never grow old. Firefly only lasted one season, but spawned a movie and a movement and is the only TV I have on DVD. But, if a variety show counts, one that lasted 11 years, then I vote for the Carol Burnett Show as the best all time series.
